The celebration in Cacocum of the Holguin province act for the Educator's Day was a worthy praise to the dedicated sector that has stood out this 2021, in addition to its teaching-educational work, in the resolute confrontation to the covid-19.
One of the numerous recognitions for the educators came with the reading of a letter sent by the Minister of Education, Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiellas, read by the Provincial Director of the sector, PhD Luis Felipe Batista, which highlights the pedagogical work of teachers and support personnel, as well as for the 60 years of the literacy campaign.
Literacy educators present at the ceremony received certificates of recognition from a group of young students of pedagogical studies.
A large group of educators from different levels of education received a special recognition, presented by Adrián Rojas, member of the Provincial Party Bureau, and the Provincial Director of Education.
In the municipality where the provincial ceremony for the Educator's Day was held, several honors were given, such as the standard-bearer of the Mechanized Cane Cutting Platoon, made up of students from the Manuel Isla Polytechnic.
Also the awarding of the title of Labor Prowess to the "Mártires de Holguín" pre-university school, first as an isolation center for suspected cases of Covid-19, then as a hospital for patients classified as low risk and where its workers did a commendable job.
This was not the only educational center involved in the fight against the epidemic situation in Cacocum and the whole province, which also received accrediting certificates for their participation in the fight against the pandemic.
Likewise, a large group of educators from all the municipalities of Holguin and the Municipal Directorates of Education, received certificates of recognition for their dedication both in teaching and in the fight against Covid-19.
It is true that Cacocum got the honor of celebrating the provincial act for the Educator's Day by its own merit, but the Municipal Director of Education, Dixán Mojena Arzuega, wanted to extend it to all the colleagues because they all deserve this longed prize, but he emphasized that today "they have earned it for the work of all the educators, their family, the Party and the Government that have accompanied them, and especially in front of the Covid-19, where each one has had its mission and has fulfilled it with more than enough".
