A good example is the recent donation of the first 130 safe face protection masks to the Provincial Health Directorate of Holguin province to confront the pandemic, to then come with other 120 masks – which are about to be finished.
LE.GO members produce the masks with micas commonly used for paper lamination, 3mm PVC films, self-adhesive vinyl for covering documents and tapes.
Lisandro Emilio Graña Ochoa, that leads the group, and Jean Carlos Fernández Carralero, head of the Creative Department and producer, and other nine colleagues have so far given 500 masks of this type to the Government of Granma Province, 800 ones to the Lenin Hospital, in addition to other masks donated to the Allergy Ward of the Children Hospital, and the Manuel Díaz Legrá polyclinic, and other health institutions in the province of Holguin.
But their work goes even further; they are now working on new projects like the prototypes of a safe face mask with a printed support on a 3D printer, and the development of a design for the nozzles of the pulmonary ventilators of the Lenin Hospital, whose replacement is not currently possible due to the fact these elements are not now manufactured.
