The member of the Politburo and Secretary of Organization and Cadres Policy of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Roberto Morales Ojeda, reflected in his working visit to the province of Holguin, that the economic and ideological battles are prioritized tasks.
The also doctor in Medicine commented that it is necessary to talk with the people, to know their concerns and problems, but, in addition, to involve them in their solution and in this the mass organizations are called to play their grass-root leading role, in the neighborhood, from their opportune and necessary strengthening in these moments.
In a meeting with directors of the Empresa de Productos Lácteos de Holguín (Dairy Company) and a tour of the Cheese Factory, Morales Ojeda had a wide exchange with cadres of the political organization at the level of province and municipality of Holguín, informed Lourdes Pichs Rodríguez, journalist of weekly Ahora.
The purpose of this new tour through Holguin is to continue verifying the progress of the implementation of the guidelines and agreements of the Eighth Party Congress, whose priorities are focused on the economic and ideological battle and the search for greater welfare for the population, said the ato political leader.
In this sense, he said that the problems cannot be seen as having no solution, but on the contrary, for this, it is necessary to encourage the collectives and communities to become an army of thinkers, to get involved in a positive and determined way in the search for favorable solutions for their performance and welfare.
Regarding the accompaniment to the neighborhoods in the improvement of their living and environmental conditions, he warned that "we cannot arrive with the concept that we are going to intervene there, it is to accompany, to facilitate tools and unblock certain mechanisms that, sometimes, do not allow things to be done as they should be and in that the Party has the duty to continue working to undo obstacles that do much damage".
In this sense, PCC officials in the municipality of Holguin presented their experiences, from their direct work linkage to the People's Councils and all that lies in that radius of action, which has allowed solving a group of problems, reinforcing structures at the base and above all motivating the population of those places to contribute to the improvement of their community, with a greater sense of belonging.
During the fruitful dialogue, also chaired by Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in the province, Morales Ojeda explained that as endorsed by all the documents of the Eighth Congress of the PCC, and specifically the report of Army General Raúl Castro, we must go to the neighborhood, raise the combativeness and exemplarity of the militancy in general and in particular in the community where they live. He stressed on the need to improve the work of the mass organizations, such as the CDR (Committees for the Defense of the Revolution) and the FMC (Federation of Cuban Women), as they must act in the neighborhood.
Morales Ojeda emphasized that the work of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba and its unions is being updated, and also that the role of the district delegate continues to be strengthened, as the foundation of Cuban socialist democracy, because the people elect him to be their representative before the Municipal Assembly of People's Power.
As part of the working visit, Morales Ojeda was accompanied by Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez in the tour of the Empresa de Productos Lácteos de Holguín.
Daichel de los Reyes, general director of the entity, ratified the workers' commitment to continue making an extra effort to produce more food, in spite of facing objective problems with the entry of raw materials.
The manufacture of cheese also attracted the attention of Morales Ojeda, who was interested in the varieties of this highly demanded product and its processing.
On site, he recognized the work of this collective, made up and directed mostly by young people. "What you do gives the measure of how much reserve we have, that is why the confidence that we can continue trusting you, that you will continue assuming challenges in the prioritized tasks of the country, such as the production of food for our people".
