Governor Estupiñán Rodríguez gave a general overview of the current situation in food production and the measures implemented, as well as the procedures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to this visit, the President held similar exchanges in the provinces of Havana, Pinar del Rio, Artemisa, Mayabeque, Matanzas, Villa Clara, Sancti Spíritus, Guantánamo, Santiago de Cuba, Granma and Las Tunas.
During the meeting in Holguin, new measures to be adopted to avoid social indiscipline were reported, including the application of fines of 2,000 pesos.
After the analysis of the Covid-19 situation in the municipality of Moa, the members of the temporary National Group, present in the governmental visit, at the proposal of the Prime Minister and with the approval of the President, approved that Moa should go from phase one to phase of Limited Autochthonous Transmission, due to the levels of infestation of the disease in this territory.
