Last June the first, Cuba celebrated the the International Children's Day in a different way - date instituted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1956. Covid-19 prevented children from playing in parks or having their tradictional activities in their schools. However today, they have something more important at their reach: health.
A videoconference meeting on the Provincial Economy was held this last week, with the participation of the Provincial Defence Council and reps from all the municipalities of Holguín provivce.
After hearing the National Directorate of Public Health, the Provincial Defence Council approved last week the closing of the epidemiological event, thus the official ending of the quarantine period of the area of Avenida de Cardenas, in Banes municipality.
As in the rest of Cuba, in response to the request of countless of people, two bank accounts in CUP (Cuban Currency) and CUC (Hard Currency) were opened in the province of Holguin, for those wishing to donate money in support of the recovery of the territory.
