
The rain associated with tropical wave Fred did not bother the young people of Holguin who gathered on August 13 at the historic site of Biran to pay homage to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz on the 95th anniversary of his birth, according to Yanela Ruiz Gonzalez, reporter of the newspaper Ahora.
The big celebration, adjusted to the pandemic times, remembered the date of the arrival to the world of that child who, with the passing of fruitful years, would become the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
The young blood gathered in Biran, in the current municipality of Cueto, in the province of Holguin, ratified the commitment to follow the revolutionary work, bequeathed by giants of the Homeland like Fidel, who inspire to continue fighting for a better Cuba.
In the event, presided over by Joel Queipo Ruiz, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party, Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in the province, authorities of the municipality of Cueto, and representatives of the political, mass and student organizations, the membership card of the Young Communist League (UJC) was given to several young peope, informed Adelfa Hernández Hernández, journalist of the Holguin Provincial Radio System.
The ceremony held this morning, cooled by the rain and enchanted by the beauty of Biran and its surroundings, was tinged with songs dedicated to the Eternal Commander, with words of commitment of the continuers of the libertarian deeds of many martyrs and heroes of the Homeland, among them the giant Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz.
