The weekly balance for agriculture and livestock commercialization in Holguin province took place this Sunday on the presidency of Juan Dominguez Perez - member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party, the mayor of Holguin municipality Hector Lazaro Suarez Sanchez, and comrade Rigoberto Rivero Duran who is in charge of the Agro-alimentary Programs at the Provincial Government.

During the analysis, each entity committed to supply or commercialization rendered accounts of its task.

It was learned of problems in 117 small stores that have closed, especially those selling meat and by-products, due to disagreement with the price fixed at 50 pesos the pound or pork.

For this reason, Dominguez Perez remarked that he was not in favor of raising prices, but that it should be reviewed with meat producers, who could be one of the sources of the dissatisfaction of the vendors and the population.

Likewise, it was specified that if the products were published in pounds, they should not appear in kilograms to avoid confusion among customers.

In the case of meat and by-products, the contribution of bones for cooking the broth at the places set up for this purpose was considered positive.

In this respect, it was requested to offer in the next check-up the number of places linked to this very accepted offer, from all the province and not only from the head municipality.

It was also requested to work up to the amount of supplies of food and meat, and that the PescaHol Company could contribute with fish to this offer broadly accepted by the people.

During the weekly balance for the agricultural commercialization in the province of Holguin, it was known of price violations, in which private sellers have influenced - although they are not the only ones - especially the illegal ones that operate in the afternoon and night hours to evade the inspectors of the Integral Direction of Supervision, who by the way have fined more than 200 law breakers this week alone, besides the 25 seizures of illegal products and the corresponding forced sale.

To begin with, the opening of two wholesale markets for state and self-employed (street vendor barrow) is being sought, as a way to maintain stable prices and their corresponding control in their commercialization.

Regarding social consumption, it was reported that there are no difficulties with Public Health, however, Education is hit by the lack of transport, and that all the plantain that arrives will be allocated to medical diets.

In the meeting it was ratified that in spite of the difficulties there is potential to continue raising the food per capita per inhabitants, and that it is not conceivable that the municipality of Holguin affects the provincial behavior.
